Rowdy Rooster Rescue is a family owned and operated Texas animal rescue created to help the lost, abandoned, neglected and forgotten find safety, healing and ultimately, home.

So far, our journey has brought us dogs, cats and goats—and we have a feeling that’s only the beginning.

So… why Rowdy Rooster?

Rooster was our beloved German Shorthaired Pointer who lost his battle with canine epilepsy. He left a hole in our hearts, but he also left us with something much bigger: a desire to keep showing up for animals who need someone in their corner.

Rooster was ROWDY about life, his family, furry friends and even the dozens of foster dogs that passed through our home over the years. This rescue will honor his memory with each and every life saved.

We’re starting small, learning as we grow, and building something we hope will make a real difference for animals and communities here in Texas.

There will be happy endings here. There will also be hard days, muddy paws, bottle babies, vet bills, foster adventures and probably a little chaos.

But most of all, there will be rescue.
